Our Services

RACE for Equity helped to organize the indicator selection process for Healthy North Carolina 2030. Deitre provided a framework for the group to score possible indicators and narrow them to a final list. The simple framework helped everyone to focus on what was most important in the process.

Training and technical assistance

As a co-developer and faculty member for the Results Based Accountability™ (RBA) certification course, Deitre Epps provides our clients with the capacity to gather and use disaggregated data when creating evidence-based strategies to address specific inequities within their communities. RACE for Equity assists our clients in designing Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) as we facilitate equitable practices that cater to the unique community culture and values. We also offer our clients the tools and competencies to integrate an equity lens into their practice.

Culturally responsive evaluations

RACE for Equity ensures solutions designed to address inequities within communities recognize the importance of and respond to the values and context unique to the populations served. We develop the intercultural competence of our clients and support equitable, community-based collaborations during stages of evaluation.

leadership development

As a certified FIRO-B and MBTI trainer, Deitre Epps incorporates various leadership and self-awareness assessments to team inclusiveness. intercultural Development

We build our clients’ capacity to design culturally responsive practices that cater to the unique culture, history, and values of the communities they serve. Through the Intercultural Development Inventory and Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards, we facilitate equitable collaborations designed to include and support those with lived experiences.

Qualitative data documentation

RACE for Equity utilizes nontraditional methods to meaningfully engage people in the collection and dissemination of their own data. Our Engagement Poster Project and Gallery Walk effectively share valuable information to our clients and community members.

Through the gallery walk, people are able to connect their personal experiences both with disparities in the data and with other participants, providing valuable information that helps us better understand the community context.

conference keynote and workshop presentations

RACE for Equity has been afforded several opportunities to present our methods, results, and overall philosophy to diverse audiences. From faith-based engagement, to Results Based Accountability™, to health equity, we are at the forefront of building the capacity of change agents to engage their communities through data-driven decision making. Our team has experience facilitating workshops and conferences designed to develop the competencies and skills of participants.

Internship programs for public health leaders

We offer comprehensive training and support to students pursuing higher education and/or careers in public health. Providing opportunities to attend collaborative meetings, observe Results Based Accountability™ in practice, engage community members in discussions of health equity, and connect with change agents across various sectors develops the leadership capacity of our interns. Our core principles and methods of community engagement guide public health students in translating their knowledge to real-world practices that are both evidence-based and culturally responsive.
